Answer by Voice, Text or Photo
Many learning apps fail at a simple hurdle: input. A seven-year-old who is just learning to write is supposed to type their answer into a small text field. That takes forever, frustrates them, and has nothing to do with the actual task. In the end you type the answer for your child, and independent homework becomes a joint project again.
Gennady solves this with three answer paths your child can freely choose from: speak, type or photograph. However the answer arrives, Gennady checks it and gives child-friendly feedback. A correct answer earns praise and stars. A wrong answer does not get a red failure stamp but an encouraging hint that helps with the next attempt.
Three paths, one check
Speak
Your child taps the microphone and simply says the answer. Gennady understands spoken answers in 32 languages. Ideal for children who cannot write quickly yet.
Type
Children who prefer writing type the answer: a number, a word or a full sentence, depending on the task. Gennady detects the task type automatically and expects the matching format.
Photograph
If your child solved the task on paper, they just photograph the sheet. Gennady reads the handwriting and checks the answer automatically. The familiar pen-and-notebook workflow stays intact.
Get feedback
Gennady says whether the answer is right. If not, there is a hint instead of the solution. With each attempt the tips get more specific, until your child finds the answer themselves.
Frequently asked questions
Does Gennady understand my child's pronunciation?
The speech recognition is designed for children's voices and everyday speech and works in 32 languages. A quiet environment works best. And if something is misheard, your child can simply say the answer again or type it.
Can Gennady read scrawly kids' handwriting?
In most cases, yes. The handwriting recognition is tuned for children's writing. For very illegible parts, ask yourself: could a human decipher this? If not, a new photo or rewriting the answer more neatly helps. That is a useful exercise in itself.
What happens when an answer is wrong?
No buzzer, no red X. Gennady explains encouragingly what is not quite right and gives a hint for the next attempt. The finished solution is never revealed. Your child learns that mistakes are part of learning, instead of becoming afraid of them.
Are the voice recordings stored?
Voice recordings are only processed to understand the answer. There are no ads, no tracking and no sharing with third parties. You can find details on our safety page.
