Explaining Instead of Telling
Gennady is a homework help app for primary school children. But really, Gennady is an answer to a very everyday situation: it is 5 pm, the math worksheet is on the table, your child does not understand the task, you explain it differently than the teacher did, and in the end everyone is frustrated.
Why Gennady Exists
In many families, homework is the biggest daily source of conflict. Not because children are lazy or parents impatient, but because between "I do not get it" and "Now I understand" there is often just one good explanation missing. One that fits the child’s age, goes step by step and does not sound annoyed the third time around.
That is exactly what Gennady does: your child photographs the worksheet, Gennady recognizes the tasks and explains them in a child-friendly way. One principle matters to us and sets the app apart from many others: Gennady does not hand out the solution. It gives hints, intermediate steps and explanations, but the child takes the final step alone. Because that is how real understanding happens, along with the good feeling of having done it yourself.
We believe every child deserves a patient explanation. Regardless of whether the parents have time right now, whether they still remember the material or whether a different language is spoken at home. That is why Gennady speaks 32 languages and adapts its explanations to the child’s age.
What We Hold Ourselves To
Understanding Over Finishing
A ready-made solution is quickly copied and quickly forgotten. Gennady is built so the child understands the path to the solution.
Children Are Not an Advertising Audience
Gennady shows no ads and sells no data. The app is funded transparently through a subscription.
Honesty About Limits
Gennady uses AI, and AI can make mistakes. The app does not replace a teacher or tutoring. It is a patient everyday helper, no more and no less.
Who Is Behind Gennady
Gennady is developed and operated by TopieT GmbH from Hilden, Germany, represented by Igor Shelkovenkov. We are a small team that builds, runs and improves the app ourselves. You can find the full company details in the legal notice.
If you have questions, criticism or ideas, we would love to hear from you. Feedback from parents in particular helps us make the app better.
Try Gennady and let your child scan the first task.
