This website only uses technically necessary cookies. No tracking or advertising cookies are used. Consent is therefore not required.

Server Log Files

The provider of these pages automatically collects and stores information in server log files (browser type, operating system, referrer URL, IP address, time). This data cannot be attributed to specific persons.

3. Data Processing in the “Gennady” App

3.1 What Data We Collect

  • Display name and age of the child (for age-appropriate content)
  • Login credentials (username/password or Apple Sign-In)
  • Photographed worksheets (stored for up to 180 days, then automatically deleted)
  • Spoken answers (only temporarily processed, not stored)
  • Learning progress (solved tasks, stars, levels)

3.2 What Data We Do NOT Collect

  • No location data
  • No contacts or address books
  • No device identifiers for advertising purposes
  • No biometric data

3.3 Purpose of Processing

  • Providing homework assistance (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR)
  • Age-appropriate adaptation of explanations
  • Progress tracking and reward system
  • Technical error analysis (anonymized)

3.4 Retention Period

  • Guest accounts: 30 days after last use
  • Chat messages: 90 days
  • Task history: 180 days
  • Account data: until deletion by the user

3.5 Third Parties

  • ElevenLabs (Text-to-Speech/Speech-to-Text) — audio text only, no personal data
  • OpenRouter (AI processing) — task texts only, no personal data
  • GlitchTip (error reports, self-hosted) — anonymized, no personal data

ElevenLabs and OpenRouter process data based on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) according to Art. 46 (2) (c) GDPR. GlitchTip is self-hosted on our own infrastructure in Germany — no data transfer to third parties.

4. Children and Data Protection

Gennady was specifically designed for children ages 6–11. We take the protection of children's data very seriously:

  • We only collect the minimum necessary data
  • Parental consent is required for children under 16 (Art. 8 GDPR)
  • The app features parental protection (Parental Gate)
  • No data is used for advertising purposes
  • Parents can request information about their child's data at any time
  • The account can be completely deleted at any time
