How Gennady Protects Your Child
You are handing your child an app, so you want to know exactly what happens inside it. Here we explain in plain language how Gennady protects your child: in its content, in sensitive actions and with notifications. How we handle data is set out in the privacy policy.
Child-Friendly Content
Gennady was built for children ages 6 to 11. Explanations adapt to your child’s age, and the language stays simple and friendly.
Parental Gate
Before four actions, Gennady asks a math question for an adult to solve: before onboarding, before signing out, before deleting the account and before redeeming a voucher.
Chat Only With Gennady
In the buddy chat, only Gennady answers, and Gennady is an AI. There is no connection to other users and no friend lists, so strangers cannot message your child in the app. Your child can ask about the task, but also general questions.
No Ads. Ever.
There are no ads in Gennady. The app is funded by a subscription, not by your child’s attention.
Privacy
Which data Gennady processes, which service providers receive it and how long it is kept is set out in our privacy policy.
Delete the Account: Anytime
You can delete your child’s account in the app at any time. This action is also protected by the math question for parents.
Good to Know for Parents
- Gennady can send a homework reminder from Monday to Friday and a note that today’s learning streak can still continue. You can turn these notifications off in the profile.
- Your child earns stars with correct answers and learning streaks.
- You take out the subscription through your Apple account and see the prices in the App Store beforehand.
- Which data is processed and how long it is kept is set out in the privacy policy.
Good to Know
Gennady uses AI to recognize and explain tasks and to check answers, and we work with external service providers for this. Which data goes to whom, where it is processed and on which legal basis is set out in our privacy policy. Like any AI, Gennady can make mistakes. If you have questions, just write to us.
